My ultimate go-to recipe, it’s a winner on any day, whether it’s a hectic one, a lazy one, or just any day. Whenever I have ground beef on hand, I find myself whipping up this dish. It’s incredibly simple to prepare and boasts an extraordinary flavor profile. This dish stands out as the perfect one-pot meal, brimming with delightful flavors and an irresistibly aromatic essence. Expect everyone at the table to devour it eagerly and request seconds.

Ingredients
  • Olive oil- 1 tbsp
  • Ground beef or ground chicken- ½ kg or 1 lb
  • Garlic, chopped- 1 tbsp
  • Ground cumin- 1 tsp
  • Paprika- 1 tsp
  • Dried Oregano- 1 tsp
  • Salt- 1 tsp
  • Onions, chopped- 2
  • Pickled Jalapenos- 8 slices (or add 1 tsp chili powder or ½ tsp cayenne pepper)
  • Tomato Sauce- 1 cup
  • Water- 1½ cups
  • Spaghetti Pasta, halved- 200 g
  • Grated cheddar cheese- 1 cup
  • Cilantro, chopped- ¼ cup
Instructions
  1. Select Saute setting at normal temperature.
  2. Let the stainless steel pot turn hot, add olive oil.
  3. Add ground beef or chicken, saute for a minute.
  4. Liquid will ooze out of the ground beef.
  5. Add chopped garlic, spices & salt; combine well.
  6. Do not brown the ground beef & let the pot turn brown.
  7. Add onions, combine well & cook for a minute.
  8. Add tomato sauce & water, combine well.
  9. I've added spaghetti pasta, spaghetti pasta is long so half the pasta and add to the pot.
  10. Gently immerse the pasta in the liquid.
  11. Close the pot with the lid.
  12. Select Pressure Cook, set the time to 5 minutes at high pressure.
  13. After 5 minutes of pressure cooking, let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes and then do a quick pressure release.
  14. Open the lid.
  15. Perfectly cooked pasta and ground beef, there will be some sauce in the pot.
  16. Add grated cheese & chopped cilantro, combine well.
  17. The pasta will be cooked al dente, if you prefer soft pasta- cover the pot with the lid & keep it covered in the main pot for a few minutes.
  18. Serve into a bowl & enjoy delicious ground beef pasta.
