Oats, Strawberry and Yogurt Parfait- Healthy Parfait Breakfast

 

A healthy Parfait for breakfast…

This is my latest favorite breakfast. It’s easy to make, tastes delicious and is healthy, what more do I need? If you are looking for a healthy and easy breakfast recipe, here is one that you’ll be tempted to make this every day. The word parfait is a French word meaning perfect.

Oats, Strawberry and Yogurt Parfait

Ingredients

Making: 1 glass

  • Instant oats- 1/2 cup
  • Water- 1/2 cup
  • Flavored yogurt- 5 tbsp
  • Crushed digestive biscuits or cookies- 2
  • Strawberries, chopped small- 3
  • Apple, chopped- 1
  • Maple syrup or honey- 1 tbsp
  • Almonds or nuts of your choice- 3

Instruction

  • In a bowl, combine instant oats with water. Microwave for 2 minutes or cook in a saucepan over stove pot for a few minutes till it’s cooked well.
  • Into a tall glass, it can be a wine glass or dessert glass;  spread the flavored yogurt as the first layer.
  • Top yogurt with crushed biscuits or cookies
  • Spread half of the cooked oats as the second layer.
  • Top with fruits, drizzle with 1/2 tbsp maple syrup, or honey.
  • Add crushed nuts.
  • Repeat this and make 2 or 3 layers.
  • On the top, add fruits, drizzle with maple syrup.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
  • This makes a perfect breakfast or brunch.
  • You’ll scream parfait out of joy!!!
