Chicken Satay- Quick and Easy Recipe

  • Chicken breasts, cut into long strips- 2
  • Oil- 2 tbsp/batch for pan frying
For making the marinade
  • Ginger-Garlic paste- 1½ tsp
  • Soy sauce- 2 tbsp
  • Fish sauce- 1 tbsp
  • Brown sugar- 2 tsp
  • Honey- 2 tsp
  • Ground pepper- ¼ tsp
  1. Combine all the above mentioned ingredients for making the marinade.
  2. Pour the marinade over the chicken in a bowl or ziplock bag.
  3. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat, add 1-2 tbsp oil per batch and spread it all over the pan.
  5. Place the marinated chicken on the pan(don't crowd them), cook at low medium heat till it's well done and turns golden brown in color.
  6. You could even grill or bake the chicken.
  7. Bake at 400 F for 30 minutes or until it turns golden brown in color.
  8. Once the chicken has cooked, gently insert a skewer into the chicken.
  9. Serve hot with spicy peanut sauce or soy sauce.
You could even top this chicken satay on salad and drizzle your favorite Asian dressing over it, this makes a complete meal.
