  • Freshly Ground Flax seeds- 1 tbsp
  • Water- 3 tbsp
  1. Always use fresh flax seeds.
  2. Ground 1 tbsp flax seeds in a coffee grinder.
  3. Measure 1 tbsp of ground flax seeds, add that to a small bowl.
  4. Add 3 tbsp water, combine well and let stand for 15 minutes to thicken.
  5. Now, use this instead of 1 egg in your baking- cake, cookies, muffin etc
  6. However, if the recipe calls for whipping egg, flax seeds cannot be used as it won't whip well.
  7. Increase the amount accordingly if the recipe calls for more eggs.
  8. Happy eggless baking!
