One of my favorite tropical fruits is chikoo or sapodilla. There is a huge chikoo tree on my parents front yard in Kerala, when I visit them I have got the joy of picking ripe chikoo right from the tree and enjoying them.
The fruit by itself taste delicious. I love turning them into smoothie or pudding.
This time, I also added horlicks to the smoothie; turned out delish. Horlicks is a malt-based food drink and is popular in India. Enjoy this for breakfast or in the evening.
Easy Chikoo Horlicks Smoothie- Horlicks Smoothie Recipe
Recipe type: Smoothie
- Ripe Chikoo, halved- 6
- Horlicks- 2 tbsp
- Milk- 1¼ cups
- Ripe frozen chikoo is available at most Indian stores.
- Into a blender cup: add chikoo, horlicks and milk. Blend till smooth.
- Ripe chikoo is sweet hence don't have to add sugar.
- Pour into a tall glass and enjoy.
