Glad to know you liked it. This is served cold, and it is usually made the previous day and served the next day, and it tastes better too. So go ahead and make it the day before the party and refrigerate it till you serve it. Have fun!

I Think we can’t taste it From outside India.

Hi Thas – absolutely love your blog Kinnathappam is one of my favourites and I love the one my mom makes. Totally understand when you talk about the care and attention given to it while preparing it!

I just wanted to know, can i skip Egg from the recipe? Or do i need to substitute it with something else?

Hi thas,I tried the dish yesterday and it really came out well,but it took a much longer time to get cooked in my steamer may be due to more water I think so,I used 1 1/4 cup of coconut milk.It took about 30 min or so to get cooked I cooked in simmer and not in medium heat.otherwise the taste was great and it was soft.As u have said practice is must to specialise in this dish.Thanks for this wonderful receipe and everybody at home enjoyed this dish.

Sreedevi, I am glad I could help u with this. Just follow the steps, u’ll definitely get a better result ths time. This was the first time I tried this, I had to take a special class from my mom before evn trying ths. Only thing u’ve to be careful is about batter constituency, it shuld be neither thick nor watery. Again, practice makes this dessert perfect. Do lemme know how it turns our for you.

Hi Thasneem I had been looking for this receipe for almost a year and couldn’t find the right one ,but here I found it,Ureka….
I once tasted this one from my friend’s Ramzan treat and was taken aback by this taste and tried the receipe that day itself but it came out very hard,till then I am constantly searching the web to have a taste of it.U’r receipe is very clear and I hope I can get a better result with this receipe
