Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs- 6 minutes

Hard boiled eggs made in the Instant pot, ready in 6 minutes…

Some of the challenges I’ve had while making hard boiled eggs over stove top in a sauce pan are the following:

1- I wasn’t really sure how hot the water should be and how long the eggs should be cooked in the boiling water.

2- Peeling the shells was a mess, at times have turned into a nightmare. If the eggs are under cooked- the shells will be stuck to the eggs and most of the egg white ended up in the trash can.

3- Many a time, eggs have turned tough and rubbery due to over cooking or slimy with runny yolks due to under cooking.

4- Due to all of the above, I’d never enjoyed making hard boiled eggs.

Instant pot has really resolved these issues and now I make perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs without any mess…every single time it turns out perfect. Even my Man has mastered the art of making hard boiled eggs in the Instant pot.

In the Instant Pot, eggs are pressure steamed for 6 minutes with a quick pressure release. I then plunge the cooked eggs in cold water for a minute. After a minute, the eggs will beautifully slip out of the shells. I even noticed that the eggs tasted much better and softer.

You will never go wrong with your hard boiled eggs in the Instant Pot and you will be tempted to make hard boiled eggs every single day.
