Ingredients
  • Red lentil- 1 cup (rinsed)
  • Onion, chopped- 1
  • Tomatoes, chopped- 2
  • Garlic, chopped- 1 clove
  • Ginger, chopped- 1 inch slice
  • Chili powder- 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
  • Cumin powder- ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder- 2 tsp
  • Garam Masala- ½ tsp
  • Ghee or clarified butter- 1 tsp
  • Cilantro, chopped- ¼ cup
  • Water- 1¾ cups
  • Salt- 1 tsp
Instructions
  1. Turn on the Instant pot.
  2. Rinse red lentil taken in a strainer under running water.
  3. Add all the ingredients into the stainless steel pot.
  4. Close with the lid.
  5. Turn on pressure cook mode. Set the time to 5 minutes at high pressure.
  6. After 5 minutes of pressure cooking, do a quick pressure release.
  7. Open the lid.
  8. Taste the curry, add salt if required.
  9. Serve the red lentil curry into a bowl
  10. Serve the red lentil curry along with basmati rice.
