Brown Rice made in Instant Pot

Ingredients
  • Brown Rice, rinsed- 2 cups
  • Water- 2 cups (for softer rice use 2½ cups)
  • Salt- ¼ tsp
Instructions
  1. Add water and rinsed brown rice along with salt into the pot.
  2. Close the lid, make sure pressure valve is set to sealed position.
  3. Click Manual and set pressure to high pressure.
  4. Set time to 22 minutes (by clicking + or - button)
  5. After 22 minutes of cooking, you will hear the beep. Click cancel to turn it off.
  6. Do a quick pressure release by turning the valve to venting: be careful as the steam is very hot.
  7. After the pressure has completely released, open the lid.
  8. Fluff the rice with a spoon or fork.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite curries or along with baked chicken/fish, roasted veggies etc.
  10. Note: 1 : 1- water to rice ratio will cook the rice al dente. For softer rice, add ½ cup more water.
