Pan Fried King Fish

Ingredients
  • King fish- 2 steaks
  • Coconut Oil- 5 tbsp or enough to pan fry
To marinate
  • Ginger-Garlic paste- 1 tbsp
  • Chili powder- 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
  • Garam masala- 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder- 1 tsp
  • Ground pepper- ¼ tsp
  • Lemon juice- 1 tbsp
  • Salt- 1 tsp
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, combine the above mentioned ingredients to marinate with 3 tbsp water to make a thick paste.
  2. Spread the paste over the king fish and marinate for 30 minutes or longer.
  3. Place a non-stick fry pan over medium heat.
  4. Add coconut oil to the pan.
  5. Place the king fish over the oil and pan fry till the bottom side turns golden brown in color.
  6. Flip over and pan fry the other side as well.
  7. Transfer to a kitchen paper towel.
  8. You can garnish the pan fried king fish with sliced red onions, tomatoes, lemon wedges etc.
Notes
Add enough salt for marinating the fish. Adjust the ground pepper and chili powder according to your needs.
Can be deep fried if you prefer.
